It is finally happening! Lamborghini dares the leap and brings their first SUV on the market. So far, Lamborghini is known for its ultra-flat super sports cars with extreme performance and fascinating sound. But now they are presenting the Urus, the first real SUV in their history – with 650 bhp and the well-known Lamborghini design to remain the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle of the brand.

Back in the 90s, Lamborghini had tried to bring an SUV on the market: The model LM002. The prototype was based on a call for tenders from the US Army, who were looking for a successor to their Jeep. But Lamborghini did not get the job.

Now they try again. The Lamborghini Urus is ready. The key data is impressive: the 2.2-ton SUV super sports car is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 650 bhp and 850 Newton meters of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and the maximum speed is given at 305 km/h. This way, even the strongest and fastest SUV, the Bentley Bentayga, has no chance.

The driving modes road, off-road, snow, sports, racetrack and sand provide up to six different programs, which can be selected via the “Tamburo” driving dynamics switch. Thus, the Urus not only provides enough comfort on long-haul routes, but also on the race track and even in light terrain – of course, including a fun factor. And on the inside, it offers pure luxury: sporty and luxurious with finest leather, Alcantara, aluminum, carbon fiber and wood. We are curious how the super SUV will attain.
